We were greatly disappointed in that the handle was cracked along the bottom edge. There are not that many good bedside carafes with handles on the market, and this one was promising. But, in real life, it came with a cracked handle.

Stylish, great design with glass resting inside carafe. However, glass is too fragile. 2 out of 3 deliveries came broken (glass inside carafe cannot be sufficiently packed to prevent breakage. Carafe # 3, first time went to use it, gently rinsed it out and was gently drying it when it cracked at base of handle. This is truly a cute item, but the quality of glass does not appear sufficient to support its uses.

I bought this as a bedside carafe and find it's perfect for that purpose. I like that I can cover the water with the little glass to keep dust from falling in. As someone mentioned, it is rather thin glass, but mine arrived intact and I've been very pleased with it.
